Product Overview

The BWR2-04 / BWR2-06 Transformer Winding Temperature Controller Type 2 is a dedicated temperature control instrument for oil-immersed transformer winding temperature monitoring, local indication, alarm control and remote monitoring. Designed based on the additional temperature rise principle, it works together with the BL-F composite transmitter to realize winding temperature simulation, signal conversion, control output and remote transmission.

The product mainly consists of the winding temperature controller body, temperature bulb, capillary tube, elastic element, microswitches, temperature transmitter and BL-F composite transmitter. It can output Pt100 resistance signals or 4-20mA standard current signals, making it suitable for PLC, DCS, SCADA, secondary instruments and background monitoring systems.

Working Principle

The temperature bulb of the BWR2 winding temperature controller is installed in the top oil pocket of the transformer tank to detect the transformer top oil temperature. Under no-load condition, the indicated temperature mainly reflects the transformer top oil temperature.

When the transformer operates under load, the current taken from the secondary side of the transformer current transformer is input into the BL-F composite transmitter. The CT input current can be adjusted by dial settings to meet different temperature rise requirements. According to the load current, the transmitter generates corresponding temperature rise compensation, enabling the instrument to indicate a simulated winding hot-spot temperature based on both top oil temperature and additional temperature rise.

The product can transmit temperature data to the background system through Pt100 signal or 4-20mA standard signal, enabling remote monitoring, alarm linkage and automation control.
